Monkey's Blue Cave

Here are some aerial shots of the cave Daddy made for me.

Pretty darn cool, wouldn't you agree?

I wish you kitties could come over and play with me.
We would have tons of fun.

This one happens to be one of my favorites.

As you can see, it covers a wide area.

It's quite the adventure.

Daddy makes them different every time. He even lets me keep them for days at a time. He always fills them with toys, so I can play. Boxes, so I can hide. Beds, so I can sleep.

He sometimes uses all my cubes and tunnels so my movement can't be seen from outside. That's what I like the best!

I feel very sneaky when I can't be found.

It always takes Mommy forever to find me. Heh Heh

I also like it when Cooper comes looking for me.
I like to hide and then pounce on her when she tries to sneak in.

Sneaking around, poking around, looking around, can sure make me sleepy.

Becuz in all reality, I mostly spend my time snoozing, cuz it's nice and quiet.

Until Cooper comes along.

It's the ones that Daddy gets in the mail that I find to be less private.

Monkey's Sweet Sister Sunday

Cooper is a sweet sweet sister who gives everyone nothing but love.
She's also cool because even though she annoys me and I love to pounce on her a much as possible, she never holds a grudge.

Since I've been tormenting her a lot this week. Today I was tired and decided to give her a break. Plus, Daddy asked me nicely, so I had to. As I'm still on the "be good kick", I also decided to dedicate my blog entry to her. Yes, Miss. Sweetness herself, Cooper. MY SISTER.

Ok, now sit down girl, you're in the way. Oscar's are gonna start and I need a good view......zzzzzzzzzzz.........(snoring)

Sleepy Saturday Monkey

I got up to start my day when Mommy got in the shower.
She made the mistake of putting a towel on the floor for me.
Off to napsville I went.

Mommy told me today to get as much out of my kitty enclosure as possible. She's building me a new one. Us....a new one. Yeah Baby! Rock on!

She said it's gonna be the ultimate! Mommy said she's going to start building it tomorrow. I'll keep you all posted!

Oh yeah, because of all the excitement, I snuck out, or at least I thought I did. Then she realized I was on top of the kitty penthouse, instead of inside. But I didn't get in trouble. She was like....Um, Monkey, yeah. I don't think that's cool. How bout, no! Not funny!
Then she put me back inside. Oh well!

The other night furniture was getting moved around.
I planned on helping supervise and coordinate the move, but............I got bored very quickly.

Monkey Pooped Out & Plopped

After playing with the laser for 15 minutes, I had to rest my wheels. So I pulled a Cooper and plopped right down.

Right after dinner, Cooper and I had a race to see who could fall asleep first. We decided that the last kitty to fall asleep was a rotten egg.

I won. I know I'm no stinky egg! Heh heh
Ok. Neither is Coopie, but she lost 'cuz she decided to play with Daddy instead. Whatever.

Monkey Look-a-Like???

Ladies, gentlemen, kitties and more...........yet another happy story to report.
Mommy & Daddy's friend Joshua rescued a 9-wk. old kitty. She happens to look a lot like me, only she's very purty! See for yourselves....

Her new Daddy is a very nice man. He comes over sometimes and plays with us.
I wonder if I had anything to do with him picking her? hmmm? That would be cool!

He gave her a beautiful name. Her name is Grace. Joshua reports back that Gracie enjoys eating, sleeping and chasing her tail.
Sounds like she's got a little Monkey in her for sure.

My Daddy gets to meet Gracie this evening! I wish I was going! So does Mommy.

We are giving her one of our Kitty Condos! It's ok. We don't use it anymore.
When Mommy came home this afternoon she put together a HUGE care package for Gracie.
We're giving her a new bed, two stuffed animals, lots and lots of toys, kitten food, baby food, two of my monkey bowls (We have, like 8 of them), a shiny silver baby fork and I don't know what else. Mommy went nuts!

Come to think of it, I think some of my stuff is missing? (Monkey scratching head)

I bet Gracie's gonna go bonkers when she sees everything! Oh my!!!
Wish I was around for that!

I have mixed feelings about Valentine's Day, but a lot of my peeps like to celebrate it. So....I'll keep it simple.....and say it Monkey Style.

CRASH, MY FRIEND, UPDATE (see post on 02-09)

Mommy's friends, Emily and Jen, called today on their way home from the vet with CRASH. The vet operated on Crash's hip, to mend his broken leg. At the same time, Crash was also neutered. It was a double dip surgery that went very well. Although he had a little buzz goin' on when they picked him up, he was still in good spirits and happy to be going home. Though no one is sure how he really felt about his little shaved bottom. Heh heh

Will keep you posted on his adventures.

Attack Monkey

Mommy and Daddy know how much I love playing with sticks. But, they're sneaky. (Them and the sticks. Heh)

Why? 'Cuz they STICK out when I least suspect it.

Last night, I was in my box tent when I heard a scratch on the side of the box.

The stick pushed it's way between the carpet and box.

Heh heh, I wiggled.

I was ready.

Beverly Hills Monkey

Chillin' in the car again. Sunday drive to Beverly Hills. No throwing up this time. Thank goodness, 'cuz this time, the chicks were checkin' me out.

CRASH Rescue!!

I'm very excited and super duper happy to announce that my Mommy's friends Emily and Jen rescued a kitty from the West LA Pound. They found this male 2-yr. old kitty who was extremely affectionate and very friendly. Once they picked him up, they couldn't put him down. You all know that story, I'm sure. His story is a little sad, as he had been hit by a car and was recovering from a broken leg. He may have a few other things happening, but their new VET is all over it. Since he's been in his new home he's been friendly with his new brothers: Max the kitty and Nathan the kitty lovin' dog. He may be a little hard of hearing, which is maybe how he got hit by the car. We don't know for sure.

This picture doesn't do him justice, but I mean, when does that ever happen? right? Well here he is, in all his white glory.

Beer Sniffin' Monkey

Mommy says it's unsafe for kitties to drink beer.
Although I have stolen a sip here and there, I'm not allowed to drink it. It's a big no no.
It's hard not to want any. I can usually smell it as soon as one is opened.

Adults, they get away with everything.
It's ok. I don't particularly care for that brand anyway! Hmph!

Motion Monkey

The other day, Mommy and I were driving down Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. We were cruisin'. I was enjoying myself while ridin' in the front passenger seat. Mommy was rubbin' on me and that was nice.

After a little while, I hopped in the back seat and laid down for a quick nap. When I woke up, Mommy said we were turning around to go home and that's when I sat up and started drooling!!! This was not good.

Mommy went UP a hill but there was traffic so she pulled into a driveway. At that moment, I threw up!
Mommy pulled over and cleaned me up. Poor Mommy, she was so worried.
Then Mommy had to drive DOWN the hill. BUT this time I was ok.
Mommy picked me up and carried me in her lap while she drove us home. She felt so bad. This was the very first time I ever threw up!!!

Mommy seems to think that I may be like those humans who say that can't sit in the back seat or they get sick. Kinda like they have to see where they're going. I think that's the case too. 'Cuz all the way home, I could see over Mommy's arm and I was fine!

I've always been a very mobile cat.
I'm not quite sure what happened to me.
Even the elevator weirds me out now. Hmmmmm?

Ya know, I sure hope this doesn't stop Mommy from taking me out every now and then.

In any case, here is something I found on the internet from Pet Center.

Monkey & Box

Although boxes may look similar to the human eye, they're quite different. Each and every one has their own unique layout. Separate entrances and exits. Some have high end interior, while others are bare to the bone. They all have the latest technology and what nots, and whatchamacallits.

Exploration of each and every box takes a very long time. Some have windows, while others are pitch black, only I can see around in them.

They're all great to hide in. They're all great to jump out of. They're all great to jump over and I love to knock them over.

I know, some of you just don't get it. Trust me.

It's all about....imagination.
Maybe one day, I can make it turn into a time machine and send Cooper far away. Heh Heh
Totally kidding.

Today when I was about to log on to my laptop, I felt somekitty's eyes on the back of my head.
Yep. Cooper! She was gonna try and see what my password was.
Like she even knows how to use it?
So, to remind her to mind her own business, especially if it's not MONKEY BUSINESS, then she'd better keep on movin'.
I'm sure you know what happened next.
